Customization

FaciPlan 3D ships with Shapes and Shape Data to provide information for:

  • Space Management
  • Move Management
  • Inventory Management
  • Cleaning Management
  • Maintenance Management
  • Key and Security Access Management
  • Parking Space Management
If additional Management Areas are identified, relevant Shapes and Shape Data can be easily created, e.g. for Data Center Management, additional Server and Rack Shapes would be created that would include Data such as Power Consumption, Heat Load and Weight. After the needed Shapes and Shape Data have been listed, the Setup Steps are:
  1. Identify the Spaces, Assets and Inventories that need to be tracked. (Offices, Computers, Sofas, Employees, Departments, Cost Centers, Fire Exits, etc.)
  2. List the information each element requires. (SKU, Purchase Price, Last Name, Utilization, Capacity, Power load, Door Fire Rating, Area, Key Cylinder #, etc.)
  3. Examine and compare the Shapes available in the program with those needed
  4. Create new Master Shapes to represent additional Assets, if needed
  5. Add or delete Shape Data to match information requirements for each Shape
For FaciPlan 3D™ Enterprise users, the Visio Shape Data are linked to an existing or new database:
  1. Ensure that existing Data Sources have Tables for each Shape and Fields for every Shape Data element
  2. Create new Data Sources where none currently exist
  3. Link the Shapes and Drawing to the Data Source
  4. Populate the Data Source
  5. Develop needed Reports in the Data Source

The staff of FaciPlan 3D stands ready to customize your solution or teach your personnel the steps involved in identifying and capturing data critical to your needs.
